Empowering Communities

Our vision is for every community to benefit from solid and profitable businesses and charitable organizations.

Our Mission (1).png

Our mission is to empower small businesses and nonprofit organizations to operate at sustainable and profitable levels both in the short and long term.

It is our goal to offer affordable consulting services that will help small businesses and nonprofits avoid future pitfalls and capitalize on potential opportunities in their organization.

Meet the Owner

Jacqueline Terrell believes that strong organizations create strong communities.  It is on that belief that she founded J. Terrell Consulting Firm in 2006 and has assisted hundreds of clients with non-profit formation and wrap-around services.  She co-founded the African American National Spelling Bee Championships, Inc. (AANSBC) in 2010.  Through her work as Executive Director with AANSBC, Jacqueline has another avenue to put her passion for community to work:  ensuring that middle-school students in underserved communities learn spelling decoding techniques so they can become better spellers, readers and writers.

A native New Orleanian, Jacqueline has studied at the University of New Orleans, University of Houston, and earned a certificate of achievement from the prestigious Rice University’s Leadership Institute of Nonprofit Executives (LINE).  She also has over 20 years of relevant education and business experience. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the Greater Houston Black Chamber (GHBC), National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and the Texas Association for Literacy Educators (TALE).  Jacqueline is excited to be named an Industry Champion for the Non-Profit section of the GHBC.  As Industry Champion, she is committed to design training programs that will empower non-profit leadership to create “profitable non-profits.”
